And that just ain’t happening these days.
So, what has taking yoga online from your own home taught us?
1. It’s just as easy for me to show up for myself as it is for me to not show up for myself.
Notice if you find all kinds of excuses not to attend your online class or if you actually own your worth and step onto your mat when you want to do it. A great way to help you show up for yourself is to put your favorite classes on your schedule. Block the time for self care that you love to do.
2. When you can’t connect with others, you can take time to connect with yourself.
Many of the distractions we had a year ago, simply aren’t as present in our lives today. So take advantage of that extra clear space and be willing to tap into your highest self with your yoga practice.
3. You are stronger than you think you are.
Warrior 2 for 2 minutes–no freakin’ problem! You’ve got this. Sure, you have an instructor you are following but she’s not the one truly motivating you. When you take yoga online, it is up to you to motivate you to stick to a pose or give up. Either way it is 100% your choice.
4. Online yoga isn’t for me.
Sure, this is actually a great lesson to learn. Online yoga doesn’t work for everyone. It misses the target on personal connection, one on one adjustment, helping you with your form and being in community. That doesn’t mean you should give up on your practice all together. Yoga doesn’t have to take an hour to do. Remember what you love and practice with presence for 10 minutes. You’ll be glad you did.
5. I’m grateful to receive guidance.
One of the best things about taking a yoga class is receiving guidance. You aren’t alone and you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself. It takes a lot of pressure off.
With all the isolation these days, it is healthy to remember that you don’t have to go it alone, just because you can’t interact in person right now.
I get it. That’s how I feel some days too, which is why I created a home for heart centered entrepreneurs who are tired to trying to recreate the wheel all on their own. Just because you are an entrepreneur doesn’t mean you are alone–especially when you are balancing running your business from your head and your heart.
Open up to support. Receive community. Explore something new. Have an amazing mentor whose already done that and figured it out.
You really are a rock star! And it is time to shine even brighter and upgrade how you are running your business and life with the support of a coach and community.
